When to come

The same kitchen, three different evenings

Breakfast, from first light

Halwa puri, paye and tandoori paratha with a thermos of qahwa. Quietest part of the day, and the naan is at its best straight off the wall.

Afternoon on a charpai

Winter afternoons in the open majlis are the reason people drive out here. Order a karahi, let it sit on the fire, and take your time.

Night, with the whole family

The busiest hours. Take a cabin or a family table, and if there are more than a dozen of you, order the dum pukht ahead so it is sealed and waiting.

A large dining hall with tables and chairs

Good to know

Before you sit down

Come as a family
The hall and the cabins are family seating. The open majlis takes everyone.
Park off the road
There is parking at the gate, so nobody has to stop on the Grand Trunk Road.
Order the lamb ahead
A whole dum pukht lamb is sealed and cooked from the morning. Call the day before.
Everything travels
Anything on the menu can be parcelled if you would rather eat at home.

Sit down, or take it with you

The menu is the same wherever you land — the open majlis, a family cabin, or your own table at home.
